Position Summary

The Social Science/Humanities Teacher is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering quality lesson plans, curricula and lessons that adhere to national, international and Mfah-Mfah Academy guidelines in History, Geography and Citizenship Education. The Social Science/Humanities will work closely with the Dean and Head of School to ensure each student is provided with the necessary support to appreciate the subject matter. The Social Science/Humanities Teacher will provide additional support to students outside of the classroom to ensure all students are meeting competency requirements specified in the curricula.

Position Summary

The Science Teacher is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering quality lesson plans, curricula and lessons that adhere to national, international and Mfah-Mfah Academy guidelines. The Science Teacher will work closely with the Dean of Science and Head of School to ensure each student is provided with the necessary support to appreciate the subject matter and develop a curiosity for science. The Science Teacher will provide additional support to students outside of the classroom to ensure all students are meeting competency requirements specified in the curricula.

The School Chef is responsible for planning a comprehensive menu for the students that the guarantees high quality meals and service during the school term and during events hosted at the academy. The School Chef will work closely with the Head of School and kitchen staff to ensure proper management of refectory and inventory. The School Chef will equally ensure all students will special meal requirements related to health and allergies are catered for as needed.

The School Secretary is the primary point of contact of Mfah-Mfah Academy. The School Secretary will respond request from staff, parents and students through phone calls, emails, and other methods of communication. The School Secretary will assist the Head of School in ensuring schedules are respected and a proper learning environment is maintained. The School Secretary will maintain confidential student records and personnel files and perform routine clerical duties required for proper functioning of the Academy.

Position Summary

Mfah-Mfah Academy Head of School is responsible for enacting and preserving the distinct mission of the Academy. The Head of School must be and remain an outstanding model of the values of Mfah-Mfah Academy and advance these values in all aspects of daily life. As the lead educator and administrator, the Head of School is responsible for daily operations of the Academy and for implementing the vision and mission of Mfah-Mfah Academy.

The Head of School will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, and leading a highly qualified faculty and staff in implementing a wholistic education of every student at Mfah-Mfah Academy. The Head of School will supervise the intellectual, spiritual, emotional, physical, and social growth of every student and continuously identify, analyze, and implement programs that seek to improve educational outcomes. The Head of School will be the de facto spokesperson for the Academy with all its internal and external constituencies including students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, neighbors, the business community, governmental agencies, and local, state, regional and national educational organizations and accrediting agencies.
